California and Virginia Residents Privacy Policy Supplement

Under California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and under Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), residents of California and Virginia have specific rights regarding their personal information collected by e-commerce websites. These rights include:

  1. Right to Know / Right to Access Personal Information: Residents can request that an e-commerce website disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about them, the sources of that information, the business purpose for collection, and any third parties with whom the information is shared. Residents also retain the right to obtain a copy of collected portable information in a portable and, if feasible, readily usable format that allows them to transfer the data to another entity without hindrance.

  2. Right to Correct: Residents may request the correction of any inaccurate personal information held by an e-commerce site.

  3.  Right to Delete: Residents can request the deletion of their personal information that has been collected, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., if the information is necessary to complete a transaction, ensure security, or comply with legal obligations).

  4. Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Residents have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information to third parties. E-commerce websites must provide a clear and conspicuous link labeled "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" to facilitate this process.

  5. Right to Non-Discrimination: Residents exercising their privacy rights under applicable state statues should not be subject to discriminatory practices, such as denial of services or differences in price or quality of goods.
